Hagi Wagi and Kissi Misi charged forward, their paws pounding against the mossy terrain as jagged rocks erupted from the ground like teeth. Kissi’s whiskers twitched—a split-second warning—before she yanked Hagi sideways, dodging a snapping trap of thorned vines. “Glowberries!” Hagi barked, spotting bioluminescent fruit dangling above a chasm. Kissi lunged, snagging a cluster mid-leap and hurling them into the void. The berries burst, their sticky light coating hidden stepping stones. Together, they bounded across just as the stones crumbled. A roar echoed ahead—the finish line’s arch shimmered beyond a waterfall of molten honey. “No slowing down!” Kissi growled, swerving as boulders of crystallized sugar rained around them. Hagi unsheathed his claws, scaling the caramelized cliffside while Kissi tail-whipped falling debris. With one final heave, they plunged through the waterfall, fur singed but triumphant, skidding across the finish as the crowd of marshmallow sprites erupted in cheers. Victory tasted sweeter than stolen honey.
