Description
In the game Among Us, the Impostor is one of the players whose goal is to secretly sabotage the mission and kill the Crewmates without being discovered. At the start of a match, one or more players are randomly assigned the Impostor role. Everyone else is a Crewmate. The Impostor's job is to pretend to do tasks like the Crewmates while actually using vents to move around the map quickly, sabotage critical systems on the ship to cause chaos, and kill off Crewmates. If a body is reported or an emergency meeting is called, the Impostor must lie and blend in with the group, deflecting suspicion onto others. The Impostors win if they kill enough Crewmates to equal their number or if a critical sabotage, like a reactor meltdown, is not fixed in time. The key to being a successful Impostor is deception, clever movement, and careful timing to avoid being seen performing a kill or using a vent.
