Control
Mouse support can be enabled or disabled using the toggle located on the right side of the screen. Movement and actions are mapped as follows: W to jump, A to move left, S to move right, D to drop down, J or left-click for basic attacks, K or Ctrl to activate the 1st Ability, and L or Alt to trigger the 2nd Ability.
Description
Kingdom of Pixels throws players into a vibrant 2D MOBA-platformer hybrid, blending the strategic depth of titles like *League of Legends* with retro pixel charm. Matches revolve around destroying the enemy’s crystal using waves of minions—heroes can’t attack the crystal directly, making tactical map control essential. Players select from a roster of melee or ranged heroes, each dealing either Normal or Magic damage, then customize builds using gold earned from takedowns and minion waves. Experience levels boost stats, while temporary power spikes come from snagging Gold Runes or Buff Runes hidden across the map. Matches last around 15 minutes, with ranked 1v1 or 2v2 modes testing individual skill and teamwork. A solo Practice Mode lets players experiment with item combos risk-free. Critical to success is mastering the prep phase: the 45-second countdown before minions spawn is prime time to position for the first Gold Rune. Items can only be purchased at spawn, so planning builds ahead is key—always save gold for Health Potions to sustain lane pressure. Destroying enemy towers not only unlocks a path to their crystal but supercharges allied minions, creating momentum swings. Buff Runes emerge every minute starting at 1:00 near the bottom lane, offering game-changing advantages during skirmishes. Balancing aggression with smart recalls to spend gold, avoiding damage while healing, and timing pushes with minion upgrades form the core loop. With the game in Pre-Alpha, expect tweaks and additions, but the foundation already delivers fast-paced, strategic battles where adaptability trumps brute force.
