The air bites cold and sharp as you push deeper into the twisted woods, shadows clawing at the edges of your vision. Every snapped twig echoes like a warning. Your pulse quickens—something moves just beyond the gnarled trees, a whisper of motion too deliberate to be the wind. Then you feel it: the faintest brush against your boot. A small shape darts into the dim light—a mouse, its fur matted with dirt, eyes gleaming with uncanny focus. It hesitates, whiskers twitching, before scurrying ahead and pausing to glance back. No ordinary creature. The path behind you has vanished, swallowed by creeping mist. Forward is the only choice now. You follow, each step crunching brittle leaves underfoot. The mouse leads you around jagged roots and over a shallow creek, its water black and still. A low growl rumbles in the distance—the woods are waking. The mouse freezes, nose pointed toward a crumbling stone arch half-buried in ivy. Beyond it, a flicker of torchlight dances. Safety? A trap? Your guide stares up at you, waiting. Your fingers graze the dagger at your belt. The decision is yours, but the dark doesn’t care. It’s closing in.

Description

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, frequently abbreviated as TMNT, are a quartet of fictional adolescent turtles mutated into humanoid forms and named after legendary Italian Renaissance artists. Guided by their wise, anthropomorphic rat mentor, they master the ancient discipline of ninjutsu. Operating from the shadowy sewers beneath New York City, these covert warriors confront a rogues’ gallery of threats—from small-time crooks and power-hungry tyrants to genetically altered monsters and extraterrestrial forces—all while striving to stay invisible to the outside world. Co-created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the characters first emerged in indie comic books under Mirage Studios before exploding into a multimedia empire spanning animated shows, blockbuster films, video games, action figures, and countless merchandise lines. At the height of their cultural dominance in the late ’80s and early ’90s, the Turtles became a global phenomenon, cementing their status as pop-culture icons.
