Description
Chess pits two opponents against each other on an 8x8 grid, where each commands an army of 16 units: one king, a queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, and eight pawns. Victory hinges on cornering the enemy monarch into unavoidable capture—a state known as checkmate. Players can test their strategies against computer-controlled adversaries or face off locally with a human rival, while built-in puzzle modes offer bite-sized challenges to sharpen tactical skills.
