But winter’s hush shatters when jagged laughter echoes—a sorcerer clad in shadows emerges, his staff spitting crimson sparks. Elven lanterns gutter into blood-red eyes, snowmen sprout fangs of icicles, and a twisted spell yanks your companion’s reins from your grip. The mage’s curse coils through the forest, turning carols into snarls, but hope glimmers: legends speak of nine prismatic gems scattered where moonlight pierces the canopy. Each stone—crimson, silver, gold—holds a fragment of Yule’s magic, enough to shatter the enchantment and guide you through frozen labyrinths to your stolen friend. Watch for ravens with gemstone eyes, solve riddles etched in frost, and tread softly—the mage’s illusions warp even time here. Only when the ninth gem warms your palm will the auroras blaze with salvation, the reindeer’s familiar bell jingling through the purifying light.
